چکیده
Phytophthora capsici is a soilborne oomycete plant pathogen that causes severe vegetable crop losses in New York (NY) state and worldwide. This difficult to manage, part due its production of long-lasting sexual spores tendency quickly evolve fungicide resistance. We single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) genotyped 252 P. isolates, predominantly from NY, order conduct genome-wide association study for mating type mefenoxam sensitivity. The population structure extent chromosomal copy number variation this collection isolates were also characterized. Population analyses showed largely clustered by the field site where they collected, with values F ST between pairs fields ranging 0.10 0.31. Thirty-three putative aneuploids, demonstrating evidence having up four linkage groups present more than two copies, an additional appeared be triploids. Mating was mapped region on scaffold 4, consistent previous findings, sensitivity associated several SNP markers at novel locus 62. identified candidate genes sensitivity, including homolog yeast ribosome synthesis factor Rrp5, but failed locate near 62 any subunits RNA polymerase I, hypothesized target phenylamide fungicides oomycetes. work expands our knowledge biology provides foundation functional validation epidemiologically important phenotypes.

Unveiling the genetic loci for a panicle developmental trait using genome-wide association study in rice
Panicle size has a high correlation with grain yield in rice. There is a bottleneck to identify the additional quantitative trait loci (QTL) for panicle size due to the conventional traits used for QTL mapping. To identify more genetic loci for panicle size, a panicle developmental trait (LNTB, the length from panicle neck-knot to the first primary branch in the rachis) related to panicle size ...
متن کاملA Genome-Wide Association Study Reveals New Loci for Resistance to Clubroot Disease in Brassica napus
Rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) is one of the most important oil crops in the world. However, the yield and quality of rapeseed were largely decreased by clubroot (Plasmodiophora brassicae Woronin). Therefore, it is of great importance for screening more resistant germplasms or genes and improving the resistance to P. brassicae in rapeseed breeding. In this study, a massive resistant identificatio...
متن کاملGenome Wide Association Identifies Novel Loci Involved in Fungal Communication
Understanding how genomes encode complex cellular and organismal behaviors has become the outstanding challenge of modern genetics. Unlike classical screening methods, analysis of genetic variation that occurs naturally in wild populations can enable rapid, genome-scale mapping of genotype to phenotype with a medium-throughput experimental design. Here we describe the results of the first genom...
متن کاملGenome-wide association study identifies new prostate cancer susceptibility loci.
Prostate cancer (PrCa) is the most common non-skin cancer diagnosed among males in developed countries and the second leading cause of cancer mortality, yet little is known regarding its etiology and factors that influence clinical outcome. Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) of PrCa have identified at least 30 distinct loci associated with small differences in risk. We conducted a GWAS in 2...
متن کاملGenome-wide association study reveals two new risk loci for bipolar disorder.
Bipolar disorder (BD) is a common and highly heritable mental illness and genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have robustly identified the first common genetic variants involved in disease aetiology. The data also provide strong evidence for the presence of multiple additional risk loci, each contributing a relatively small effect to BD susceptibility. Large samples are necessary to detect t...
